Our Story

Gulf Coast Roots. Built to Last.

We've been turning wrenches on heavy iron across the Texas Gulf Coast since 1999. Family-owned, field-proven, and built on one belief: downtime is the enemy.

How We Got Here

A Shop Built on the Job Site

Heavy Machinery started in a two-bay shop in Pasadena, Texas in 1999. Our founder, Ray Castillo, spent 12 years as a field mechanic for a major construction company before going out on his own with a service truck, a set of tools, and a reputation for showing up when it mattered.

The Gulf Coast construction and energy sectors were booming, and contractors needed a shop they could trust — one that understood the pressure of a job site timeline and wouldn't leave a machine sitting for three weeks waiting on a part. Ray built that shop.

Today we operate out of a 22,000 sq ft facility in the Houston metro area with a fleet of mobile service units covering the entire Gulf Coast region. We've grown from one truck to a team of 30+ certified technicians, but the core hasn't changed: get the machine running, get it running right, and get it back to work.

How We Operate

What We Stand For

Uptime First

Every decision we make is measured against one question: does this get the machine back to work faster? That's the standard.

No Shortcuts

We use quality parts, proper torque specs, and documented procedures. A repair that fails in 90 days isn't a repair — it's a delay.

Field-Ready

Our mobile units carry the tools and parts to handle most repairs on location. We don't make you tow a machine if we can fix it where it sits.

Straight Talk

We tell you what's wrong, what it'll cost, and how long it'll take — before we start. No surprises on the invoice.
